Comfort & distraction
Age-appropriate toys, art supplies, books, activity items, and sensory tools for anxious hands and long days.
Beyond Alex Foundation · Racine, Wisconsin
A quiet promise to every child who hears the word “cancer” for the first time.
Our purpose
Beyond Alex exists to walk beside children and families from the moment of diagnosis, offering comfort, distraction, encouragement, and practical support when the ground feels unsteady.
Our first program, Alex Boxes, is a personalized box of hope for children newly diagnosed with cancer. Each is filled with age-appropriate moments of comfort, play, and ownership.
Age-appropriate toys, art supplies, books, activity items, and sensory tools for anxious hands and long days.
Small, thoughtful items chosen for the child alone: an encouragement bracelet, a journal, fuzzy socks, and more.
Essentials such as a blanket, charging cables, toiletries, and other helpful comforts for hospital stays.
“A box that says: this is still yours, this is still play, this is still childhood.”The idea behind every Alex Box
Launching with purpose
Beyond Alex is preparing to begin Alex Boxes on September 1, 2026. Donations and merchandise fundraising will help make each box possible.
Hospital partnership with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin: pending, in conversation.
